The University of Sydney is seeking contribution towards its development of Equine Equipment - take part in the survey here.

We would like to invite you to participate in the Equine Equipment Study (EES). EES is an online survey that will continuously collect data on the equipment used with horses as well as their behaviours.

The survey is currently in production mode with the University of Sydney and we are seeking 1000+ horse owners who are keen to give something back to horses by contributing to its development. The current version is in a longish, draft form and the data collected from it will be analysed to help us condense the final survey, due to be released to a wide equestrian audience in August 2018.

We shall endeavor to further horse welfare by increasing our understanding of the overall effects of horse equipment on horses. If you would like to contribute to improving horse welfare by advancing our understanding how training and management affect horse behaviour within breeds, then please take the EES survey now: https://redcap.sydney.edu.au/surveys/?s=9MPTLLWMA8. If you have more than one horse, we suggest you complete the survey for that horse that is most familiar to you. This might even be a youngster or a retiree.

This survey takes approximately 20-30mins to complete. There is a feedback box at the end where we welcome your thoughts and comments. There is also a ‘save and return’ feature on the survey so you can complete it in your own time.

Once again, thank you for your time, interest and positive contribution towards a better future for our horses.
