Update including State Meetings and updated risk assessment tool for clubs and zones.
Pony Club Association NSW State Executive have made the decision to cancel the upcoming face to face Executive, Zone Chief Instructor, Annual General Meeting and Council meetings which were scheduled for 22nd, 23rd and 24th March respectively.
In order for the elections and important agenda items to go ahead Zone Chief Instructors, Club Corporate Members and State Councillors will all be invited directly via email to participate in meetings via Survey Monkey. Any non-essential items will be held over and either dealt with at the scheduled July meetings or if necessary at a new date to be determined.
Eligible voting members will be contacted via email and provided with a link to the appropriate Survey Monkey document and given a couple of days to complete the survey, the results will be scrutinised and notification of results sent via our usual mail out. These links are private and confidential and should not be shared with anyone else or via social media.
The State Executive are reviewing upcoming State Championships and will provide details to riders directly as soon as possible.
Clubs and Zones are encouraged to keep up to date with all State and Federal Authorities and follow their guidelines for upcoming activities and events. Attached is a risk assessment tool to help clubs and zones determine whether their activities and events should go ahead, please remember that this information is current as of the date of issue and only relates to COVID-19 Clubs and Zones need to include all aspects of their event in their risk assessments including but not limited to - food handling, Working with Children Checks, ground safety, instructors on hand, standard of riders on hand etc. links to NSW Health and Office of Sport can be found here
Club Committees and organising committees of camps need to be mindful of how best to minimize risks to members and may limit their activities to day programs and/or self-catering and accommodation rather than communal dining and dorm rooms. Please check with your club directly for updates on their activities and events.
