Important Update on Pony Club NSW Events and COVID-19
PCA NSW State Executive and Staff urge all members to keep up to date with the State and Federal Authorities updates surrounding COVID-19. Information has been provided to all members relating to risk assessments and COVID-19 an as such please complete your own risk assessment, if you or a family member has a concern please do not attend whether you are sick or not.
Any rider and/or family member who is sick, regardless of their illness should not attend a pony club activity or event. Riders and/or family members who are elderly and/or fall into an at risk category should not attend a pony club activity or event.
Club and Zone Committees are volunteers and are processing the information supplied to them by PCA NSW and the authorities in the same way you are therefore please be courteous and respectful when seeking clarification/updates on events.
You would be aware that many sporting codes have mandated no activity this is because by their nature they are contact sports and social distancing is not possible, equestrian sports by their nature already has to a certain social distancing incorporated in the activities however if you are in doubt or have any concerns please do not attend the activity on offer.
Club and Zone Committee's will complete their own risk assessment to determine whether the activity or event should go ahead and what practices and procedures they will put in place for good hygiene practices and to implement social distancing. If you have any concerns please raise these concerns with the organising committee respectfully and if you have any expertise that may be helpful to the committee please offer to help.
Information will continue to be updated to the PCA NSW website as it comes to hand or is updated by NSW Health, the Australian Government or Sport NSW via their links available on our website
We appreciate your support through this trying time for our sport.
